Belmont House, Wood Lane, Headingley
On behalf of Belmont Development Ltd, we wish to inform you of the future development proposals for the comprehensive redevelopment of the Belmont House office complex located off Wood Lane, Headingley, Leeds. The complex consists of Belmont House, the Coach House and Round House.
Belmont House is subject of a current planning application for its change of use and extension to form 11 apartments (LPA Ref 20/06503/FU).
The current consultation seeks residents comments in relation to the future full planning application for the demolition of the Round House and Coach House and their replacement by two apartment buildings to form a total 17 No. of apartments and associated works. The proposals include the provision of affordable housing, works to on site trees and landscaping and the provision of a heritage orchard to provide a net benefit to trees and ecology.
The proposals have been designed to ensure they will be sympathetic to the setting of Belmont House in both scale and architectural design. The replacement Coach House apartment building has been designed to reflect the building it is replacing. The replacement Round House apartment building is to be named Bray House after the first owner of Belmont House, George Bray (1880s).
A leaflet was hand delivered to residents within the vicinity of the site informing them of the proposals/intetnions on the 22nd October 2020.
