Land East of Otley Road, Adel

Hallam Land Management intend to submit an outline planning application for the development of land off Otley Road, Adel for 100 homes and to reserve an area of land for the local authority for possible future provision of a school. This is detailed in the Council’s emerging Local Plan.
This application will seek approval for the principle of development here along with two vehicular access points. One serving the main development area to the west of the watercourse and managed by a signal controlled junction off Otley Road, opposite Kingsley Drive. This would also be the main access to the land reserved for a school as required in the emerging Local Plan. The second access to the development would be from Ash Road, coming from Holt Avenue.

You will note that the proposals show development to the west of the watercourse with land available to the east for a school playing field. This is in accordance with Leeds City Council’s request.
Please also note that approval of this outline application will ensure land reserved for a new school could be available for construction as early as 2019. However, the timing of the building of a new primary school on this site is in the hands of the Council.
