Acting on behalf of our clients Taylor Wimpey UK Ltd we are preparing to submit an Outline Planning Application for the residential development of land at Highfield Farm, Knaresborough.
The site lies to the immediate north of the A59 York Road in Knaresborough and abuts the recently approved Manse Farm site.
This application site is allocated for housing within the emerging Harrogate Local Plan, with a Site Reference of K25, and a proposed capacity for 402 dwellings (see attached extract from the Harrogate Draft Local Plan). Site-K25-Publication-Draft-Local-Plan-Extract.pdf (328 downloads)
The adjacent approved Manse Farm will provide 600 dwellings, primary school, employment, landscaping and access roads is due to start building in late 2018.
An illustrative Masterplan of the Highfield Farm site identifies three residential development parcels capable of delivering 402 dwellings, two vehicular access points; one from A59 York Road and a second via the approved Manse Farm scheme to the immediate west of the site, and will retain existing boundary landscaping where possible, as well as incorporating existing watercourses that run through the site, with associated green corridors and public open space.
