Land South of Lee Lane, Royston
Johnson Mowat wish to share with you the development proposals on land south of Lee Lane Royston. The site is adjacent to and proposed to be accessed off the recently completed Lee Lane roundabout (adjacent to the Barratt Homes Site).
The application site forms part of the mixed use allocation (MU5) in the adopted Barnsley Local Plan (February 2019) which the Barratt Homes site north of Lee Lane forms part of. The MU5 allocation forms a large mixed use allocation to the west of Royston which will predominately include housing (likely to be between 700 and 800 homes) as well as a primary school, potentially a small scale convenience store and footpath and cycle linkages.
Johnson Mowat will shortly be submitting an outline planning application for circa 100 dwellings on the land south of Lee Lane. The proposals include vehicular roads, pedestrian and cycle linkages.
