Lords Close, Giggleswick
We wish to inform you of the intentions of Wellesley Homes and Giggleswick school to submit a Full planning application for the residential development of 38 No. dwellings off Lords Close, Giggleswick.
The application site has been allocated for new housing by Craven District Council in their Local Plan and has therefore been considered a sustainable location for new development. The development proposals have further provided the opportunity to secure much needed improvements to the sports facilities at Lord’s Cricket pitch to the north of the proposed residential development.
The latest plans include proposals for the following:-
- 38 No. high quality new homes of different sizes, types and tenure;
- 30% on-site affordable housing (11 No. dwellings);
- The resurfacing of Lord’s Cricket pitch, providing improved facilities for cricket and two rugby pitches.
- A new single storey sports pavilion that will be available for community events and meetings, with pedestrian access and off-road parking.
- Improved pedestrian access and a new car park accessed from Bankwell Road.
We are holding a public consultation event where details of the scheme and members of the development team will be on hand to answer any questions. This event will comply with the Government’s latest guidance on managing the risk of COVID-19.
When: Thursday 27th May 2021
