Land East of March Road, Wimblington

On behalf of NYC Estates Ltd, we wish to inform you of the future development proposals for much needed family housing on land east of March Road, Wimblington.

The site is bordered by March Lane to the west and Bridge Lane to the north. The site area is approximately 3.5ha, forming a logical location for residential development between the housing to the south and roadside residential properties located alongside March Lane and Bridge Lane. The proposal is situated in a sustainable location within a short walk to public transport and all local facilities.

The development team are seeking to submit an outline application with all matters reserved, except for access, for a residential development consisting of the following:-

  • Delivery of much family housing (88 No. Dwellings)
  • Including the provision of Affordable Homes
  • Landscaping across the site including the retention of existing hedgerows and significant additional planting of trees, hedges and shrubbery.
  • Provision of a green corridor to the north of the site with public footpaths.


A leaflet was hand delivered to residents within the vicinity of the site informing them of the proposals/intentions on the 21st October 2020.
