PROPOSED RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT ON LAND SOUTH OF SELBY ROAD, GARFORTH
Harron Homes and Persimmon Homes intend to submit an Outline planning application for the residential development of land South of Selby Road, Garforth for 299 dwellings with proposed vehicular access via the space between Nos 28 and 38 Selby Road.
The site is currently regarded as safeguarded land for residential development in the 2006 Leeds Unitary Development Plan Review (UDPR) (which was drafted to deliver housing up to 31 March 2016). At present, all housing allocations in the 2006 UDPR have been now released for development and the UDPR has expired as a ‘housing delivery’ Plan. This has meant that other similar safeguarded land sites across the Leeds District have been found suitable for development and the applicants consider that now is the time to submit this site for consideration for residential development.
