Manor Farm, Hambleton

On behalf of Hallam Land Management, we wish to inform you of the future development proposals for much needed family housing on land at Manor Farm, Hambleton.

The Application Site is measures 6.06Ha in size and is currently unallocated land in agricultural use. The Application Site is located within the south of Hambleton and is currently being promoted through the Local Plan process as site reference HAMB-A.

The development team are seeking to submit an outline application with all matters reserved, except for access, for a residential development that will provide:-

  • A boost to housing supply and an enhanced choice of new housing in a local market;
  • A network of cycle pedestrian routes to provide connectivity across the site and to the surrounding area;
  • Public Open Space (1.25Ha in total) including play space;
  • 160 no. residential dwellings (including affordable housing);
  • Residential dwellings will provide a varied housing mix to meet local housing need; and
  • Additional landscaping within the Application Site which will provide 1) opportunities for improving biodiversity and 2) assist in softening the appearance of the residential dwellings.

The plans are brought forward in Outline only, seeking permission for the principle of development, and point of vehicular access from Chapel Street. All other details are reserved for a later date. An emergency vehicular link is shown leading to Mill Lane, which is not proposed as a regular vehicular access.
