Rowley Lane, Lepton

On behalf of Redrow Homes and Portman Land, we wish to inform you of the future development proposals on land off Rowley Lane, Lepton, Huddersfield. The site was allocated for housing in the recently adopted Kirklees Local Plan (February 2019) and forms part of wider residential development proposals in the area (to the south of the site).

It is Redrow Homes and Portman Land’s intention for the site to be developed for circa 150 new family homes to meet the local need for housing in this part of Huddersfield. We are therefore preparing a Full Planning Application which is to be submitted to Kirklees Council in the near future.

Vehicular access to the site is proposed from Hermitage Park and a further access is proposed to the south of the site to the adjoining neighbouring housing allocation.

In addition to housing the proposal will also include the provision of extensive areas of open space.

A leaflet was hand delivered to residents within the vicinity of the site informing them of the proposals / intentions on 5th September 2019 and can be downloaded here:- Leaflet-Website-Version-1.pdf (585 downloads)
