About Karbon Homes

Karbon Homes is a social housing provider with 35,000 affordable homes across Yorkshire and the North East. It has a successful track record of delivering new affordable homes in Yorkshire, with its Leeds-based subsidiary, 54North Homes, managing the homes once they are built.

What are we proposing?

The proposals would provide a mix of high-quality affordable homes for local people, helping families remain in the area and creating an inclusive neighbourhood.

Wakefield Council has identified the site as suitable for residential development. We are therefore inviting the local community to share their views on the design and layout of the emerging proposals.

The plans include:

• 90 affordable homes, with varied types and sizes to meet different housing needs.

• Green space integrated within the development for residents to enjoy.

• Sustainable transport connections, including access to bus services to Wakefield city centre.

The proposed site plan shows the arrangement of homes, streets and green spaces. We would particularly welcome your feedback on the proposed layout.
