Joe (MPlan, MRTPI) joined Johnson Mowat in 2025 after working client-side for developers. After university he worked at Wakefield and Doncaster Councils before moving to the private sector, and he now has over 10 years industry experience. He has worked on strategic sites, advocating for allocations at Local Plan examinations, as well as progressing planning applications and appeals. His time working at Local Authorities (in both Development Management and Spatial Policy teams) also provided a solid foundation of procedural and legislative knowledge.

Joe is a fair-weather cyclist and has a keen interest in coffee, spending weekends sampling cakes and coffee (occasionally commuting on the bike).
