Land off B1396, Branton, Doncaster
On behalf of Bellway Homes Ltd (Yorkshire), we inform you that they are promoting a site to the east of Branton that has the capacity to provide 100 homes which will contribute to the much needed housing supply of Doncaster, which will comprise of a mix of homes ranging from 2 bed to 4 bed properties.
The site is located to the east of the B1396 and is accessed using an existing agricultural field gate. To the north the site is Milton Road, the south the boundary is defined by Old Mill Dike. The east the site is defined by open fields and clusters of mature scrub / tree planting. The site is relatively flat with the western boundary defined by a mature hedge.
The Illustrative Masterplan, at the bottom of this webpage, is landscape / ecology led and therefore the development parcels are informed by and designed around large areas of Public Open Space (POS), SUD features and ‘Feature Spaces’ located around key junctions. The site will be access from the B1396.
In summary, the proposal will provide:
- Diverse housing mix, comprising of market and affordable homes.
- Access from B1396 via an existing field gate.
- Extensive green space, including public open areas and deep landscape buffers.
- Significant BNG area to the south and west, enhancing ecology and separating Branton from Auckley.
- Layout has been designed to avoid development in Flood Zones 2 and 3.
A consultation leaflet has been hand delivered to neighbouring residents informing of the proposals for this site.
